Baltimore-based Beth Hoeckel is one of my favorites. just loved seeing designlovefest post one of her cool creations. I went to school in Baltimore and constantly feel lucky when thinking about how nonchalantly I was exposed to great, interesting things while there. hell to the yes, collage and mixed media with seriously apocalyptic undertones.

New kid on the block travel project 12 hrs. was launched by The Locals photographer Søren Jepsen and writer Anna Peuckert and is really just my kind of travel site, all shops and cafes and thoughtful recommendations for inspiring trips to places that range from Portland, Oregon to Copenhagen. Extra points for photography that makes you want to skip your lunch meeting and hightail it to the airport immediately in search of equal amounts of color and adventure. (via Miss Moss)

I am smitten. This brooklyn apartment is the type that makes you (me) feel bad about that time you (me) lived in New York and didn't live quite like this. Confession: I do this sometimes. I get into these phases where I more... or less... torture myself by looking at gorgeous living spaces. How special is this house? Photographer Laure Joliet took these beauts in designer Tracy Wilkinson's home, which happens to be another California gem. Oh and that dreamy tee pictured? She made it. Check out wilkinson's other creations (including those perfect hanging pots) in her shop.
