color story // red 'n pink 'n blue

A most perfect pairing. Sometimes it's just nice to look at some nice colors together to exercise our eyeballs a bit. There is something magic about these milky shades of pink and blue, tempered with a touch of radioactive fluorescence. Happy Friday loves.

color story // I fell off my pink cloud with a thud

Elizabeth Taylor spoke the above words - she knew pink meant something of a fairytale, an unapologetic saccharine sweetness, girlishness in the most textbook of manners. Well, this is a color love that kind of snuck up on me. In unexpected places, I think it can be quite magical. Like a knowing wink. And, you know, bubblegum colored candy floss.

color story // poppy and spring green

This gorgeous column dress by Acne really got my eyes (and heart) whirling today. I swear, an audible gasp might have escaped my lips. Sometimes that happens. Then I started looking at my tumblr, and noticed that I'd unconsciously been saving images in the same color family the last few days. I love that! So, here is an ode to a color palette I am, apparently, very taken by lately. Poppy and verdant spring green, you're lookin' good.

Sometimes, I just crave a reset. Patterns, slightly too much. Color, too bright. White is a nice refreshing treat.

This is a palette I am really loving lately. minty green, white, light grey and chestnut hues in the winter, talk about a breath of fresh air! (the stupid-amounts shiny blonde fringe doesn't hurt the cause...)
