Contemporary realist painter Bruce Cohen's works are crisp, sharp-edged, and yes, seriously, photographically life-like. But there's a sort of strangely haunted, uncanny feel to them too, I think. Windows left ajar, coffee mugs on the counter, tulips falling over the edge of a vase... Cohen's domestic spaces appear deserted, with the whisper of a just-there-a-moment-ago presence.
