A truly mind-blowing "landscape" photography series by Steven Back. Many of these were photographed at Hutt Lagoon in Australia, which is actually pink in real life due to carotenoid-producing algae. Can you believe that? I almost can't! The more salty-textured ones were photographed at salt flats near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. Science rules.
